Last Friday after work, we decided to head down to the camp since it had been several weeks, and we had turned off the heat and the water so we wanted to be sure all was well. Traffic wasn't too bad - it took us about an hour and a half - probably a record for a Friday. When we got there, it was 18 degrees outside and about 22 degrees inside, brr... We turned the heat on and headed over to the "Lakeside Inn," a new resturaunt within Land'Or. The food and atmosphere are nice (it's WAY too dark in there) but the waitress is just odd. She just stands around your table too long, without saying anything. She had also brought me a butter for my bread - that had already been used by another patron. By the time we finished dinner, got some groceries and headed back to the camp, it had warmed up to 52 degrees. Since it was Julia's bedtime, I changed her into her pj's while Nathan started a fire. Julia loves to watch the fire. We sat and read books and stayed warm.
Saturday morning after breakfast Julia just started saying, "ma, ma." We were so excited. We thought for sure she'd say "da, da" first! It's funny to watch her make the motions with her mouth a few times before she actually makes the sound.
